World’s Fastest Mix Pack Line

World’s Fastest Mix Pack Line

Automation has been used to packing single variety biscuits for nearly 100 years. Due to the complexity of design and quality control of automating an assorted packaging line, manual labour is still often used to pack assorted biscuits worldwide.

REPLACING RIGID MACHINERY WITH FLEXIBLE ROBOTS

Aluminium Extrusion processing requires the loading of Aluminium Billets into Extrusion Presses. Specialty Machinery has been developed to complete this, but due to the high heat and pressure, small misalignments can occur over time leading to critical failures when loading.

REPLACING RIGID MACHINERY WITH FLEXIBLE ROBOTS

Unique Multi-Functional Gripper

Most Automation in Industry focuses on primary manufacturing or end-of-line manual processes. Due to this, the Infeed of Raw Materials still accounts for a disproportionate level of manual labour in industry. Applied Robotics in response to this need is developing new infeed solutions for Industry.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR AUTOMATION DISCOVERY PROGRAM (ADP)

Want to know if your production could be more profitable but don’t know where to start?

Automation Discovery Programs (ADP) is a free production assessment designed to identify automation opportunities within a production environment. The ADP is Applied Robotics proactive approach to Australian manufacturing that provides a unique automation technology lens to identify your improvement opportunities.

We have a passion for Australian Manufacturing to thrive through innovation and automation and that is why we invest our time freely with the goal of transforming your production operation. The ADP is led by our experienced Solution Team which is a brains trust of Automation Architects, Engineers, Statisticians and Commercial Strategists. The team's activities are but not limited to production analysis, commercial validation, technical feasibility and return on investment.

We work closely with your company stakeholders to facilitate production assessments and discussions about your processes. Your production can be looked at broadly, or with a targeted focus.

Upon discovery of an automation opportunity, the Solutions Team will invest more time to develop early design concepts and business case documentation that will help your managers facilitate internal discussions to improve your production efficiency. In most cases, the team can provide a proposal turnaround in 21 days from the opportunity discovery.

Can Australian Industries compete with China?

The emphasis on buying Australian-made to stimulate the Australian economy and create jobs has never been so pronounced. Data from Roy Morgan found that 93% of people are more likely to buy Australian made. Do people’s preferences translate into actions? From 2019-2020 Australia’s imports from China amounted to 83.4 billion dollars Regrettably, this fact suggests […]

How Cobots safely interact with humans

Collaborative robots, also known as cobots, are robots that are pre-programmed to detect humans when in a collaborative workspace. Unlike traditional robots that require segregation and physical guarding, cobots have sophisticated integrated collision detection systems that can detect collisions and quickly adjust the motor speed to prevent injury. Advanced cobots have built-in vision systems that […]

How modular Robotic design works

In the business world, we are bombarded with headlines like “Adaptability: the new competitive advantage” and “Adaptability is key to business growth”. However, when it comes to adaptability, how easy is it to adapt modern technologies such as specialty machines and robotics into your business for that competitive advantage and business growth? Enter: modular robotic […]

How modular Robotic design works

The adoption of automation to improve workplace safety has never been more appealing than during COVID-19. In the past, automated technologies were used to improve safety and prevent workplace accidents. Employees no longer had to work in unsafe and hazardous conditions. Automated Mobile Robots also known as AMR’s, replaced Forklifts to reduce the likelihood of […]

How we used pneumatics to reduce client costs

The simplest design is often the best. Applied Robotics simplifies designs where possible, so our machines are affordable and easy to operate and maintain. On a recent automation project for a fast-moving goods assembly line, we identified that pneumatics was a suitable substitute for a servo motor to reduce costs for our client. Not only […]

Why Robotics is not always the answer

Specialty Purpose Machines or Robots, that is the question when implementing automated production. The most financially viable option comes down to the number of axes the product is required to move. If only 1 or 2 axis movement is required then an automated machine, such as a conveyor belt, is ideal from a functional and […]
